CARY, N.C. (July 4, 2025) — North Carolina FC midfielder Jayson Quintanilla has been invited to the Honduras U-21 national team training camp from July 7–10.
“We are extremely excited for Jayson to have earned this opportunity to represent Honduras and to gain valuable international experience. From his early days in our NCFC Youth Academy Program to now a standout year in 2025, Quinta has worked extremely hard and has benefited from our club’s connected pathway between our professional team and our Academy program. This year has seen him make his professional debut while being consistently involved in the professional environment. He’s also played in meaningful games across USL-2, UPSL, USL Academy, and ECNL that usually has seen him competing against older competition. Our professional staff and academy staff have worked together to construct a challenging and developmentally appropriate plan for Jayson across our club. We’re all excited for his development to be recognized with the Honduras Federation and I’m certain he will make the most of this opportunity,” said NCFC Head Coach and Sporting Director John Bradford.
Quintanilla joined NCFC on a USL Championship Academy contract for the 2025 regular season. He made his professional and club debut in NCFC’s third-round win over Charlotte Independence in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on April 15.
