CARY, N.C. (Thursday, Dec.7) — North Carolina Football Club got into the holiday spirit on Friday, with front office staff decorating a tree in Downtown Cary as part of the town’s Heart of the Holidays 12th Annual Gifting Tree Project.
From Dec. 2 to Dec. 17, people can vote on which tree is their favorite and the winning groups will earn a donation for a nonprofit of their choice. The top three vote-getters in the contest will win prizes.
Anyone can vote for their favorite tree here. Votes are limited to one per person.
NCFC is competing for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The club’s tree is located along S Academy Street, right at the entrance to the Downtown Cary Park closest to the park’s building.
Decorations for the tree include scarves and soccer balls, as well as ornaments made and designed by front office staff featuring the club’s logo and players. The tree topper is a golden star made of trophies, fitting for the reigning NWSL Challenge Cup and USL League One title winners.
