North Carolina FC – #18 Jake McGuire
Following a stellar showing against Greenville Triumph SC, Jake McGuire will look to prevent Forward Madison FC from converting scoring opportunities in Saturday’s match. McGuire has shown that he can maintain composure in net, something that has not gone unnoticed by head coach John Bradford. Of McGuire’s performance in the home opener Bradford said, “I mean look, he got scored on by a PK and a header that dinged off the post and went in, so beyond that he kept us in the game in all moments. He has been great for us. Bringing him in has been a big boost to the group and I think he is going to have a great season.”
Forward Madison FC – #7 Jake Keegan
Joining Forward Madison from Greenville Triumph SC this year, Jake Keegan scored a goal in the Flamingos’ last contest against FC Tucson to tie the game at 1-1 in his club debut. While with the Triumph, the striker notched 14 goals in two seasons, a proven goalscorer with dangerous attacking ability. The 29-year-old will look to keep the North Carolina FC defense on its toes by creating scoring chances for Forward Madison in Saturday’s match.
