NEW YORK (September 29, 2017) – The North American Soccer League (NASL) announced Friday that Puerto Rico FC’s upcoming home game against North Carolina FC on Saturday, October 7, has been moved to Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Kickoff will remain at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Puerto Rico was scheduled to host NCFC at Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium in Bayamón, but the destruction caused by Hurricane Maria left the league with no choice but to move the game elsewhere.
Since the matchup was slated to be a home game for Puerto Rico, all tickets will be only $10 and 50% of all ticket sales will go to the hurricane relief fund that was set up by Puerto Rico FC owner Carmelo Anthony. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting NCFCTix.com or by calling the North Carolina Football Club box office at 9191-459-8144.
Please note that only the East Stands (sections 301-310) of the stadium will be open for this match and that tickets will be general admission with open seating.
The NASL has already moved several Puerto Rico FC games due to complications caused by Hurricane Maria, and league officials are continuing to work with Puerto Rico FC to determine the best possible course of action for the club’s remaining home games.
