CARY, N.C. (Aug. 11, 2017) – North Carolina Football Club has entered into a multi-year agreement with Greater Cleveland Athletic Association (GCAA) Cleveland United to provide its Elite Technique® supplemental training program to players in their club. The partnership will allow players in GCAA Cleveland United to have the exciting opportunity to receive additional training from the Elite Technique® professional coaching staff.
"We are pleased to enter into a long-term agreement with NCFC to bring Elite Technique® to our community,” said GCAA Cleveland United Director of Coaching Winston Pennington. “Our collective goal is to provide our GCAA Cleveland United families with valuable training experiences, while keeping our program cost reasonable."
“North Carolina FC is excited to be bringing our supplemental training program, Elite Technique®, to another youth soccer club in NC,” said Jared Musante, North Carolina Football Club’s Youth Programs Director. “GCAA Cleveland United’s committment to provide this elite-level training is a true testament to their vision to further develop players, grow the game and connect their community in the Clayton, NC area to the pro teams through this unique training program.”
The North Carolina Football Club’s Elite Technique® program is an elite-level supplemental training program patterned upon the most successful professional youth training programs worldwide. The curriculum is developed by the organization’s professional technical staff and is based on decades of direct youth academy coaching and professional playing experience in the U.S. and Europe.
Elite Technique® training aims to develop the “complete player” by addressing all aspects of the game – technical, tactical, physical and psychological – in a way that challenges a player to push past existing skill levels in a constructive, positive age appropriate environment that builds their passion for the game.
"In keeping with the importance of the technical development of our players, within our travel program, all of our U12 and younger players along with our U13 and older will train with the Elite Technique® staff once a week,” Pennington continued. “In addition, U4 to U8 Rec players will have the opportunity to train once a week. As an organization, we are very excited to offer Elite Technique® to further aid in the development of our players across all levels."
“The Elite Technique® coaching staff is looking forward to providing its program to GCAA Cleveland United,” said Stefan Oakes, Director of Elite Technique® Coaching. “Our supplemental training program is a great fit with their goal of further developing their players and we are excited to start working with them.”
