Here’s What’s Happening On Inaugural Game Day
On April 22, the state of North Carolina will officially welcome the NC Courage home to Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park as they host the Portland Thorns. Watch US Women’s National Teamers Allie Long, Meghan Klingenberg, Lindsey Horan and Emily Sonnett with Canadian legend Christine Sinclair take on the North Carolina Courage at 7:30 pm.

After defeating the Washington Spirit in their first-ever game on April 15, the NC Courage are looking to start a winning streak in front of their loyal fans in Cary! We have a special night planned for you and the team to make this historic home opener one to remember.
Here’s what’s happening on April 22:
Come early to tailgate:
The parking lot at WakeMed Soccer Park opens at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday for fans to hang out and tailgate before the match.
Parking is FREE! Need more tickets? The box office at WakeMed Soccer Park will be open starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Ride to and from the game for free:
Ride the Red and Blue Express to the game for free! It includes free Lonerider beer, WI-FI, limo-style seating, and music with stops in Downtown Raleigh and Durham. Get free food:
At 6:30 p.m., the stadium gates will open, and the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a free Sahlen’s hot dog to enjoy at the game. We'll also be passing out coupons courtesy of Papa John's Pizza!

Backyard Bistro is offering their "Soccer Poutine", french fries topped with pork BBQ, western sauce and coleslaw, for just $12.

Be sure to look up during the National Anthem as the Bandit Flight Team will soar over Sahlen’s Stadium for a spectacular show.

Fans will be able to purchase the new North Carolina Courage merchandise to show their team pride at one of our two merchandise stands. Stop by our North Carolina Football Club Street Team table on the north east side of the stadium to enter to win a jersey!
Stay late for added fun:
Post-game fireworks will follow the 90 minutes of exciting NWSL action. Meet the players after the match; your favorite players such as USWNT members Sam Mewis and Lynn Williams be available for autographs and photos.
