Cary, NC (March 22, 2017) – Following the NASL announcement of their national and digital broadcast schedule, North Carolina Football Club released the men’s broadcast schedule today which ensures that all NCFC games will be available on television or on digital platforms in 2017. In combination with the soon to be released North Carolina Courage broadcast schedule, North Carolina Football Club fans and members will have unprecedented access to live coverage of North Carolina’s top professional soccer teams.
“We are excited to continue our partnerships with Capitol Broadcasting Company and Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable),” said North Carolina FC President and GM Curt Johnson. “This will be the best broadcast schedule in club history with at least one soccer game on national, local, regional or broadcast television each week of both the men’s and women’s seasons. As support for North Carolina FC grows throughout our great state, we are positioned to offer more ways to follow NCFC than ever before.”
Starting with the home opener on March 25 at 7:30 p.m., Spectrum SportsChannel and WRAL2 will broadcast a total of 24 NCFC matches throughout the Spring and Fall Seasons. One of the matches, the Sunday, June 4 showdown against the New York Cosmos, will be shown on FOX50.
These matches will also be carried digitally on WRAL.com and its platforms on ROKU, Amazon Fire and Apple TV. Additionally, 95.7 The Ticket will carry a minimum of 17 matches over the radio airwaves on 95.7 FM and 1550 AM.
"North Carolina FC has an exciting schedule for this upcoming season. Capitol Broadcasting Company is equally enthused about the ability to broadcast more games than ever on our properties of TV, radio, web and mobile," said Steven D. Hammel, vice president & general manager, WRAL-TV & FOX 50.
NCFC will feature nationally on BeIN Sports four times during the Spring Season, while ESPN3, ESPN’s live multi-screen network, will carry 11 Spring Season games digitally.
Dean Linke is set to return for his 11th consecutive year as the Voice of the North Carolina Football Club bringing his unique and engaging play-by-play style to the broadcasts. He will be joined in the booth by 2005 Mac Hermann Trophy winner and 2008 MLS Cup Champion Jason Garey as the primary color commentator.
While the NC Courage broadcast schedule is in the process of being finalized and will be announced at a later date, the club continues to work diligently to ensure that fans have the best possible access to all its games including an opportunity to have select games on broadcast television throughout the season.
