North Carolina FC announced today that despite attempts to keep Omar Bravo on the 2017 roster, the club was unable to come to terms with Chivas de Guadalajara to extend his loan.
Mexican Superstar Omar Bravo became a part of the North Carolina FC family on July 12, 2016 at halftime in front of a sold out crowd at WakeMed Soccer Park. He went on to become an instant fan-favorite; a player that would stay an hour after the final whistle to meet fans, sign autographs and take photos.
His dedication to the fans and community translated to excellence on the field. The legendary forward scored four goals for the club after coming to the team halfway through the 2016 season. His leadership provided a spark to his teammates and inspired young soccer players to fall in love with the game.
North Carolina FC wishes Omar and his family the absolute best as he continues his career, and hope to cross paths with him again in the future.
