Cary, NC (January, 6 2017) – Earlier this evening, the US Soccer Federation announced that the North American Soccer League will retain provisional Division II status. We applaud the hard work and effort of the Federation in ensuring that the NASL will continue to be a competitive league next season.
North Carolina FC would like to thank its fans for their patience and support, and looks forward to providing them with high-level soccer as part of the NASL in 2017.
“The NASL Board of Governors and I support the USSF’s decision to grant the league provisional Division II status,” said North Carolina Football Club owner Steve Malik. “We’re excited about beginning play in April, and we look forward to the continued growth of our league and soccer in the U.S.”
