2019 was a big year for Raleigh native DJ Taylor, who just completed his third season with North Carolina FC, his hometown club.
The former NCFC Youth Academy standout starred at right back in head coach Dave Sarachan's first season in charge, recording one goal and six assists as he was named the team's Defensive Player of the Year. This past season, Taylor played more minutes (3,123) than any other NCFC player and appeared in 35 of the team’s 37 competitive matches across all competitions.
Having re-signed with NCFC, Taylor said the team has some "some unfinished business to attend to" in 2020.
