CARY, N.C. (July 14, 2023) – North Carolina FC today announces the signing of goalkeeper Marzuq Puckerin to a 25-day contract. The signing is pending league and federation approval.
Puckerin joins North Carolina FC from New England 2 of MLS Next Pro team and MLS Next Pro U19’s . The goalkeeper hails from Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Marzuqe signed his first professional contract with Revolution 2 to the USL League One roster in November of 2020. He was added to the 2019 Atlanta United 2 roster but did not appear in any games. Puckerin joined separate trainings with West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers in late 2018 and Aberdeen FC in early 2020. He spent two seasons with the Atlanta United Academy from 2018-20, making 13 appearances including 11 starts between the U-17 and U-19 levels.
Puckerin also received multiple invitations to the U.S. Youth National team camps including U.S. Youth National Team Summit Camp in January 2018 for the U-17, U.S. U-17 team training in Chula Vista, Cal. from Feb. 24 through Mar. 4, 2018, and U.S. U-17 team camp in June 2018.

Marzuq Puckerin’s arrival brings the goalkeeper count to four alongside Nicholas Holliday, Tor Saunders, and Trevor Mulqueen.
