CARY, NC (June 9, 2022) – North Carolina FC head coach John Bradford has been named USL League One Coach of the Month for the month of May, the club announced today. Now in his second season as the head coach of NCFC, this marks Bradford’s second time receiving Coach of the Month honors, first receiving the accolade in July 2021.
“I’m proud of the progress our team has made over the course of our last four games, and our group is determined to keep improving,” Bradford said. “I share the Coach of the Month recognition with all of our staff and players, as this is also a reflection of their dedication and hard work.”
Bradford led his squad to three wins in four contests last month, defeating FC Tucson, Greenville Triumph SC, and the Richmond Kickers as the North Carolina side concluded the month of May at second place in the table. Six players received Team of the Week honors throughout the month, including defenders Christian Lue Young and Jordan Skelton, midfielders Jaden Servania, Raheem Somersall, and Luis Arriaga, and forwards Oalex Anderson and Garrett McLaughlin, with Anderson and McLaughlin each earning a nomination for Player of the Month.
