U.S. Soccer announced the Third Round pairings for the 102nd Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with the RailHawks hosting the Third Round on Wednesday, May 27th at WakeMed Soccer Park. The RailHawks will host the winner of the Second Round match between the Upward Stars (NPSL) and Charlotte Independence (USL).
"The US Open Cup is a competition we take seriously," said RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke. "We've had great success and a lot of great results over the years, so we are definitely looking forward to start with this year's competition."
Season ticket holders already have tickets to this match as part of their season ticket package. Season ticket holders must use their GAME A ticket for this match. Flex Plan buyers can purchase tickets starting on Friday, May 15th at 9:00am. Tickets for the Third Round match will go on-sale to the general public on Saturday, May 16th at 9:00am.
NASL clubs that advance to the fourth round will compete against Major League Soccer (MLS) sides. The RailHawks have had success in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Tournament in recent years advancing deep into the tournament and beating the likes of Chivas USA and the LA Galaxy over the last three years.
