With a population of 2,726,000, the Triangle is the second largest metropolitan area in North Carolina behind Charlotte, and the Raleigh-Durham television market is the 25th largest in the country as of 2015-2016.
North Carolina FC is joined by the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League and the Durham Bulls, a Tampa Bay Rays affiliate of Minor League Baseball, as the three professional sports teams in the Triangle.
WakeMed Soccer Park sits a mile off of Interstate 40, the nation’s third largest interstate that connects Wilmington, NC to Barstow, CA. The stadium is centrally located just two hours from the NC coast and three hours from the NC mountains.
