(Jan. 6, 2020) – For the second straight season, North Carolina FC will open its USL Championship campaign with a home match against Louisville City FC, as head coach Dave Sarachan’s team is set to host the defending Eastern Conference champions on Saturday, March 7, at 2:30 p.m. at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.
Last year, NCFC kicked off the 2019 season with a 4-1 victory over Lou City in Sarachan’s first game as head coach. NCFC split the regular-season series with Lou City a season ago, with the home team winning each game.
All time, NCFC is a stellar 8W-2L-3D in home openers. A season ago, NCFC matched a club record with 11 regular-season home wins, as the team finished with the third-best home form in the USL Championship (11W-1L-5D, 38 points).
