2016: Lianne Sanderson was acquired by the Flash on June 21, 2016, via trade with the Orlando Pride. Started in six out of nine games played. Scored three goals. 2015: The expansion Orlando Pride selected Sanderson from Portland with the 7th pick of the 2015 NWSL Expansion Draft, joining Alex Morgan and Kaylyn Kyle as fellow Orlando acquisitions from Portland. Sanderson was the first player to score a goal at home for the franchise, on a free kick in the 56th minute of the Pride's home opener on April 23, 2016.
Sanderson has logged 45 appearances with the English National Team since 2006, amassing 15 goals in her time. Most recently, she helped England to a bronze medal at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.
