A camp day will only be canceled if the Town of Cary closes the soccer fields at WakeMed Soccer Park for weather-related issues, or if lighting or thunder is experienced and expected to persist during a camp.
If a camp gets canceled due to Town of Cary weather-related field closures, the North Carolina FC staff will send out an e-mail alerting you of this cancellation at the e-mail address provided when you registered for camp, as well as post the cancellation on the NCFC Facebook Page and NCFC Twitter account.
You may also proactively check the following Town of Cary Website by clicking here or call the Town of Cary Weather Hotline at 919-319-4502 to check for field closures (updated for field closures by 5:00pm on weekdays).
In the event of any sighting of lightning or sound of thunder, camp instructors will remove all campers from the field and take them indoors at the stadium. The kids will stay indoors for at least 30 minutes from the time of the last sighting of lightning or the last sound of thunder.
If a camp day gets completely canceled, a make-up day will be provided on the Friday of the same week of camp during the same 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. time slot as the other camp days.
If more than one day of camp in a given camp week gets canceled, then a camper will be allowed to make up the extra day(s) of canceled camp (beyond the already offered Friday make-up day) by attending any day of any future NCFC summer soccer camp. Parents must notify Anne Mann at Anne@NorthCarolinaFC.com with their desired make-up camp day prior to attending.
